Dawson Cram
Dawson “DK” Cram is a young up and coming NASCAR racer who has devoted his entire life to pursuing his passion in motorsports. He comes from a long family history of stock car racing on both of his parents' sides of the family. Both of his grandfathers raced in their day, his uncles have raced and even continue to work in the sport today. His father, Kevin Cram, is a former NASCAR Cup Series crew chief having worked with some of the greatest drivers in the history of NASCAR, including Bill Elliott, Dale Earnhardt Sr., Ron Hornaday Jr., and Steve Park among many others. It was no surprise that at the age of five, Dawson was eager to start racing.

In 2007, at the age of six years old, Dawson started his racing journey in a Mini Dwarf at Barona Speedway in Southern California. In 2010, at the age of eight, his family relocated back to Mooresville, NC and Dawson made the move into the INEX Bandolero division at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. During his rookie year in the INEX Bandolero’s, Dawson scored 13 feature wins and earned his first of four Bandolero Championships.
In the fall of 2013 after his twelfth birthday, Dawson moved up into the INEX Legend Cars, competing both on asphalt and dirt. He also became a factory driver for SKE in the dirt Winged Karts at Millbridge Speedway. In 2014, Dawson earned the Championship title in the Legends Young Lions division on both dirt and asphalt and claimed the Championship in the Intermediate Winged Karts. In 2015, at the age of 14, Dawson began racing at the famed Hickory Motor Speedway in the Super Truck Series. In 2016, he competed in the NASCAR Whelen Limited Late Models and was named the 2016 Hickory Motor Speedway Limited Late Model Rookie of the Year.
At 16 years old, Dawson made the jump to Super Late Models and the ARCA Menards Series, where he gained experience at higher speeds and bigger tracks. In 2018, just after his 17th birthday Dawson made his first start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Martinsville Speedway. On his 3rd NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Martinsville, Dawson scored his best finish in the series finishing 13th.
The 2020 season was Dawson’s first attempt at 13 tracks on the national series schedule. His best finish was a 14th-place effort at Michigan where he led three laps. With the COVID-19 restrictions in place, Dawson was faced with the challenge of no practice time allowed at any of these races, with his first laps on track coming at the drop of the green flag.
Midway through the 2020 season, the young racer and his father, Kevin Cram, made the leap to Team Ownership announcing the establishment of the #41 Cram Racing Enterprises NASCAR Truck team. At just 18 years old, Dawson became the youngest NASCAR team co-owner in history.
Dawson is passionately driven to succeed not only behind the wheel but he is also dedicated to his work off the track as a representative of the sport, as a brand ambassador for his partners and as a young athlete who is committed to utilizing his platform for purpose, causes and missions that he believes in and for encouraging his audience to reach for greater heights.
The 2021 season brought Cram 13 more truck series starts for his family owned team Cram Racing Enterprises in the number 41 truck with the best finish of 16th coming a Martinsville Speedway. The 2021 season also marked the debut for the then 19 year old in the Xfinity Series coming at New Hampshire for Mike Harmon Racing in the number 74 car.
In 2022 Cram would attempt 4 Xfinity Series races for three different teams (Emerling Gase Motorsports, Mike Harmon Racing, and MBM Motorsports)
